SOCIETY
FOR EDUCATIONAL VISITS AND EXCHANGES IN CANADA (SEVEC)
The Society for Educational Visits and Exchanges
(SEVEC), a national charitable organization, is
a leader in the field of youth exchanges and educational
travel in Canada. Originally founded in 1936, the
organization is dedicated to increasing young Canadians
knowledge of Canada and its people through the first-hand
experience of an exchange or educational visit.
SEVEC was selected as the major delivery organization
for the Youth Exchanges Canada Program in 2000 and
as the recipient of the Association for Canadian
Studies Award of Merit 2004 . More than 287,000
young people have benefited from SEVECs educational
programs over the past sixty-eight years. |

Perley
& Rideau Veterans' Health Centre
The Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre
is located on 24 acres between Russell Road and
the Ottawa University Health Sciences Center adjacent
to the Ottawa Hospitals General Campus on
Smyth Road. We are a state-of-the-art long-term
care facility, with three two-storey residences
connected by glassed in walkways to the main service
and administration building, the Perley Centre.

Dreams
Take Flight
DREAMS TAKE FLIGHT is a non-profit organization
made up of volunteers from the Air Canada family
in Canada and the United States. Teams in Vancouver,
Calgary, Edmonton Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal,
Halifax, Los Angeles and Tampa each organize the
trip of a lifetime for physically, mentally or socially
challenged children. The destination - Disney World,
Florida or Disneyland, California - for a day. Air
Canada donates the aircraft and the employees do
the rest. The adventure is funded through fundraising
efforts, corporate sponsors and donations. |

The
Ottawa Gymnastics Centre
The OGC is housed in a 27,000 square foot air-conditioned
gymnasium complete with reception area, changing
facilities, resi-pit, trampolines and Olympic equipment
for Men's and Women's gymnastics programs. The Centre
has experienced tremendous growth since its modest
beginning and is presently one of the largest and
best equipped gymnastic facilities in Canada. It
is one of only 9 Centres of Excellence within Canada
as designated by Gymnastics Canada Gymnastique. |
